# A New Pact for Educational ROI

I was invited to collaborate on a white paper with [Nick Pinchok](https://www.linkedin.com/in/nick-pinchok-7548953/), [Jim Peterson](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jim-peterson-90271311/) and [Juan Lopez.](https://www.linkedin.com/in/drjuanmlopez/) From the very first call we had about the topic, I was impressed by this team's focus on student creation and demonstration of knowledge. The focus of this paper is Career and Technical Education (CTE)  and offers leaders a framework and 90-Day plan template.   

Educational ROI is a sensitive topic and this paper helps shift educational Return on Investment (ROI) away from institutional metrics (enrollment rates, test scores, graduation certificates) and toward human ones: Fulfillment, Adaptability, Means, and Employability.

This project allowed me to contribute insight for leaders to ensure they have the right technical tools and time to do the job. But, what I learned from this team is that great teaching, with the right leadership support, community buy-in and tools, create the environment to help transform the student experience.

Great student results have always followed engaged students who are invested in the creation and refinement of their own work products. The feedback loop to prepare, create and experience real interaction with others as they prepare a public exhibition of work changes ones perspective on their work.      

Nick, Jim and Juan bring the evidence and the model that leaders can use as they plan to enhance their own programs.
